Chili sin carne

The classic chili con carne can of course also be made without meat and is just as tasty and fiery. You can make this hearty and healthy Chili Sin Carne with just a few ingredients. With Organic SunflowerHACK you bring the power of sunflowers to this Mexican dish. Serve with rice or rolled up in delicious burritos.


Ingredients

  • 76 g sunflowerHACK + spice mix sunflowerCHILI(alternatively: 1 chopped chili pepper or 1/2 tsp chili powder,1-2 tsp red paprika powder, salt, pepper, some sugar

  • 3 tbsp sunflowerFamily organic frying oil

  • 2 onions diced

  • 2 garlic cloves chopped

  • 2 carrots diced

  • 50g of tomato paste

  • 350 ml vegetable broth, e.g. organic soup dumplings from sunflowerFamily

  • 400 g of diced tomatoes

  • 200 g of pureed tomatoes

  • 255 g kidney beans (tin)

  • 275 g corn (can)

Topping:

  • Chili flakes

  • Parsley

  • Limes


Preparation:


  • Heat the organic frying oil in the pan. Fry the onions, carrots and sunflowerHACK for about 5 minutes. Add the garlic, spice mixture and tomato paste and sauté briefly.

  • Now add the tomatoes, vegetable broth, kidney beans and corn and simmer for about 20 minutes over low heat. season with salt, pepper and chili.

  • Serve the Chili-Con-Sunflower with rice or make delicious wraps. Serve with chili flakes, parsley or limes to taste.
